I am writing to let you know that after 29 years of working at Newby, I will be retiring at the end of this academic year.

Throughout my time in school, I have had the absolute privilege of teaching amazingly talented pupils. Their enthusiasm is what makes Newby such a special place.

Newby is an incredible place to work. The whole staff team are completely committed to making the school the best place it can be. They are amazing.

I would like to say a really big thank you for all the support that you, as parents, have given me throughout my career.

The governors have started the job of recruiting the next Headteacher and I know they will make an excellent appointment. Our governors, many of who are parents, know exactly what will ensure Newby continues to be the successful, friendly community based school that it is.

I know that school will go from strength to strength and look forward to hearing all about the wonderful things that take place in the future.

Thank you for making the last 29 years so happy, fulfilling and successful. I will take with me lots of very wonderful memories.

School Meals

After half term, the price of a school meal will increase from £1.70 to £1.80.

Can I remind you that Parentpay is an efficient way for you to pay for meals. If you need help accessing this system, please speak to the school office.

We are in the process of developing our spring menu with the School Council. If you, or your child, have any favourite meals or recipes, please share them with us and we will look at including them onto the lunchtime menu.
