Welcome Back

Welcome to the new academic year at Newby! As I said in my introductory letter, I would like to thank you all for making me so very welcome. I can’t have wished for a warmer reception!

We have a new teacher in Nursery Mrs Nikki Doran, as well as two new learning assistants Miss Keranjot Takhar and Mr Akhtar Munir.  Also, we welcome 4 trainee teachers; Mr Nathan Hurtault, Mr Ellis Webster, Mr Kamran Hussain and Mr Michael Preston.

I’d also like to welcome our new families into school. It has been a real pleasure to see the smiling faces of Nursery and Reception children coming into school and growing in confidence daily.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact school. We know that the more closely we work with you, the happier and more successful your child will be throughout their time in school.

Lost Property

From now on, there will be a lost property display on the final Thursday of each half term. Apart from the end of the 1st half term which will be Wed 23rd Oct.

All lost property will be displayed in the school hall at the end of the school day. Any unclaimed lost property will then be disposed of.

If you wish to speak to your child’s teacher or any other member of staff, please come through the front entrance to the School Office.

Parents with more than one child, please drop your older children at their door first, then younger children.

Please note that any child later than 9am will need to come through the main entrance and will be registered as ‘late’.

We will be introducing ‘punctuality weeks’ with great prizes to be won – more information to follow!
