Learning Assistant Vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the wonderful Newby Primary School.
Are you passionate about supporting children in making good progress – no matter their starting point? Do you have a good understanding of how children learn and develop?
Are you looking for an opportunity to get school based experience before moving on to Teaching? Or are you looking to develop as a Learning Assistant in School?

SENDCo - to start as soon as possible
We are looking to appoint a qualified, experienced teacher to join our friendly and enthusiastic staff team as a non-class based SENCo.
You will need to hold a NASENCo qualification along with your Qualified Teacher Status (both are essential for the role, however we will consider candidates who are willing to work towards the NASENCo qualification).

Over the last two years the provision for our children who have a Special Educational Need or Disability has transformed and we’re looking for someone who will help us in the next stage of our journey. Our absolute ambition is to be a school that is known for being highly inclusive and a school who look for innovative ways to ensure we meet the needs of all pupils.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has the passion, drive and experience to lead our SEND provision
- Has a sound, working knowledge of the SEND code of practice.
- Has a sound insight into what constitutes highly inclusive practice
- Is innovative and looks for ways to push the boundaries
- Is highly efficient and well organised
- Is curious about children barrier’s to learning including being trauma informed
- Has excellent people skills and the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues
- Sees parents as key partners in the work we do for all our children, but particularly those who have additional needs
- Can engage with a wide variety of professionals to support school in its endeavour in meeting the needs of all pupils
- Aims to be kind, confident and successful.
